Dog eye problem…?
Our dog was outside last night… when he came back into the house… he ran into the wall. When he turned around, he couldnt open his left eye. We tried to wash it off but he was still closing it alot and it was really red. I dont know exactly what happened when he was out… I am thinking something bit his eye or something… anyone know what we can do for his eye?
He should be seen by a vet. if your think there was damage (a bite or scratch) then he could have damage to his cornea. Corneal damage often causes eye redness. Dogs may also paw at their eyes because of discomfort. Any delay in treating corneal lesions could lead to the development of a painful corneal ulcer or an inflammatory condition known as keratitis ( a cloudiness of the cornea leading to loss of vision).
