Pink Eye Infant
My toddler gave my 8 week old a black eye!?
Her eye isnt exactly black…. just a little pink.. but i think it is from when my almost 2 year old smacked the baby in the head 2 times yesterday…. eeeek! They are 1 year and 9 months apart… 2 girls…. Does someone have any advice for me to stop my oldest daughter from hitting the baby? I dont ever leave them alone together, and I always have my eye on then… though sometimes I can’t move quick enough to stop my oldest daughter from hitting the younger one…
She isnt always fresh, I think she is just going through a “phase”… and most of the time she wants to hug and kiss the baby… but every once in a while she will hit her…. she also hits, kicks, scratches, and pinches me… I put her on the naughty chair… and she does know it’s wrong…. well has anyone else had a fresh toddler with an infant? I’d like to hear some strategies that helped… thanks.
when you figure it out, let me know, cause my 2 yr old makes me nervous when she’s around my 8 week old and it almost like she’s mesmerized with the baby and she constantly wants to pick her up or try to feed her, etc…i think it’s just a phase, but one thing that works is to sit them down with you and show big sis how soft or how gentle she has to be when she touches the baby….let her touch her feet, leg, arm etc, really softly….hopefully, they’ll “get it” soon and stop messing with their younger siblings!
