Natural remedy for ‘pinkeye’ or eye glop from bacteria?

Is there anything natural or holistic or herbal besides a saline eye wash to use to help at home for clearing up a bacterial infection or pink-eye in an adult man?

I would make a tincture from these herbs instead of a tea as it is easier and quicker to use and tinctures extract more of the phytochemicals in the plant. The slight amount of alcohol in the tincture nor the cayenne will do no harm.
