Now that Democrats have removed Dental Care from Medicare, how will Seniors afford the visit to a Dentist?
MEDICARE ADVANTAGE Under the new health care law, most of the government subsidies that Medicare Advantage plans have received will be phased out by 2017. In 2011, the subsidy will be frozen at last year’s levels, said Marc Steinberg, deputy director of health policy at Families USA.
As insurers look at what’s coming, and as they figure out ways to pay for new mandates like preventive care, they are likely to cut back on other benefits, like dental or vision, said Mr. Gada. “You need to check each plan carefully,” he advised.
